This project involved the mapping of all vegetation communities and regional ecosystems throughout the Shire as well as tightening the existing geological/land zone mapping. The project was part of a Bushfire and Landslide Hazard mapping project. RF&A were Project Managers and Principal Consultant – Vegetation & Bushfire. The Consultancy Team and the project won the 2005 Planning Institute of Queensland Award for Excellence in the Natural Disaster and Management Category and in 2006 jointly won a National Award for planning excellence in the Environmental Planning category.
